Separate Yourself from Other Salespeople

In recent years, the sales profession has earned respect. However, we still have the opportunity to improve the our reputation.

First (and this should go without saying), be honest and ethical in all your encounters.

Second, take a look at your sales presentation. What steps have you taken to separate yourself from other salespeople? Have you developed an empathy statement? Do you have an agenda for the day? Do you do what you said you were going to do?

Third, remember that people don't care what you know until they know that you care. Let your customers know that you are more than a are a decent human being.
